The Rosso red sauce joint storefront on Monroe Drive in Midtown Atlanta

Our story

Nonna's kitchen, Midtown's table.

An Italian-American red sauce joint built on family recipes, house-made pasta and generous, noisy dinners.

Our story

Food is love. Loud, messy, generous love.

Rosso honors the journey of Italians who came to this country and built something new without losing who they were. It honors the Nonna in the kitchen and the patriarch at the head of the table.

Chef Pat Pascarella cooks the Italian-American food he grew up on: red checkered tablecloths, scarpariello, parm and piccata, and pasta we make ourselves every day.

Our home is 931 Monroe Drive in Midtown, a room made for loud tables and long dinners where nobody leaves hungry. Sundays mean ziti with Sunday sauce. It's never gravy.

The bar is part of the celebration too: Rosso-gronis, Rosso-tinis and The Nonna, our ricotta-washed gin cocktail with tomato, strawberry and chili oil.

This isn't a quiet restaurant. It's a celebration.

Why Rosso

Three things we won't compromise on.

  1. We make our own pasta

Tutta la pasta fatta in casa. Lumache, paccheri, mafalde and cavatelli, made here every day.

  2. Nonna's meatball

85% beef and 15% sausage, fried golden brown, then stewed in pomodoro for four hours. It's the recipe, and we don't mess with it.

  3. A bar worth staying for

Signature cocktails like The Nonna and the Pepperoncini Margherita, Italian wines by the glass and bottle, and Peroni on draft.

Tonight, maybe?

The table's set. Come hungry.
