Our story
Food is love. Loud, messy, generous love.
Rosso honors the journey of Italians who came to this country and built something new without losing who they were. It honors the Nonna in the kitchen and the patriarch at the head of the table.
Chef Pat Pascarella cooks the Italian-American food he grew up on: red checkered tablecloths, scarpariello, parm and piccata, and pasta we make ourselves every day.
Our home is 931 Monroe Drive in Midtown, a room made for loud tables and long dinners where nobody leaves hungry. Sundays mean ziti with Sunday sauce. It's never gravy.
The bar is part of the celebration too: Rosso-gronis, Rosso-tinis and The Nonna, our ricotta-washed gin cocktail with tomato, strawberry and chili oil.
This isn't a quiet restaurant. It's a celebration.
